Ryzen 5 3550H vs Xeon E5-2620 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 3550H is faster than the Xeon E5-2620. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-2620 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2620 has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 3550H has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 3550H. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 3550H has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon E5-2620. Also, the Ryzen 5 3550H has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 3550H CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2620 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 3550H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
