Ryzen 5 3500X vs Xeon W-2125 specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 3500X performs better than the Xeon W-2125. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W-2125 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 5 3500X has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Xeon W-2125 that has 4 cores. Despite this, the Xeon W-2125 has more threads than the Ryzen 5 3500X. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-2125 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 3500X. Also, the Xeon W-2125 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 3500X CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2125 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 5 3500X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
