Ryzen 5 3500X vs Core i7-1260P benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-1260P beats the Ryzen 5 3500X in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 3500X has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-1260P has significantly more cores with 12 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 3500X that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 3500X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 3500X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-1260P. Despite this, the Core i7-1260P has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-1260P outputs less heat than Ryzen 5 3500X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-1260P has slightly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 3500X. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 3500X has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core i7-1260P.
