Ryzen 5 3500X vs Core i7-11850H benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-11850H beats the Ryzen 5 3500X in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 3500X in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-11850H has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 3500X has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 3500X. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 5 3500X has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-11850H. Despite this, the Core i7-11850H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-11850H outputs less heat than Ryzen 5 3500X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 5 3500X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
