Ryzen 5 3500X vs Core i5-9600KF benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-9600KF is faster than the Ryzen 5 3500X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 3500X in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-9600KF has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 3500X. Also, the Core i5-9600KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 3500X CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-9600KF CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 5 3500X has more L2 cache than the Core i5-9600KF. The Ryzen 5 3500X also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 5 3500X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
