Ryzen 5 3500 vs Xeon W-11855M specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon W-11855M is faster than the Ryzen 5 3500. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 3500 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Xeon W-11855M has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 3500 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon W-11855M. The Xeon W-11855M outputs less heat than Ryzen 5 3500 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 5 3500 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
