Ryzen 5 3400G vs Core i5-7500T benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 3400G is faster than the Core i5-7500T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-7500T in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 5 3400G has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 3400G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-7500T. Also, the Ryzen 5 3400G has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-7500T outputs less heat than Ryzen 5 3400G thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 3400G has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-7500T. Despite this, the Core i5-7500T has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 3400G.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 3400G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
