Ryzen 5 2400G vs Xeon W-2125 comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 2400G performs better than the Xeon W-2125. Despite this, the Xeon W-2125 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-2125 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 2400G. Also, the Xeon W-2125 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 2400G CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2125 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 2400G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
