Ryzen 5 1600X vs Ryzen 5 5625U benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 1600X beats the Ryzen 5 5625U in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 5625U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 1600X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 5625U. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 5625U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 5625U outputs less heat than Ryzen 5 1600X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 1600X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
