Ryzen 5 1600X vs Core i7-1255U benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 1600X is faster than the Core i7-1255U. Despite this, the Core i7-1255U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-1255U has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 1600X has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 1600X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-1255U. The Core i7-1255U outputs less heat than Ryzen 5 1600X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-1255U has slightly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 1600X. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 1600X has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i7-1255U.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 1600X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
