Ryzen 5 1600X vs Core i7-11800H benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-11800H performs better than the Ryzen 5 1600X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 1600X in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-11800H has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 1600X has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 1600X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 1600X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-11800H. The Core i7-11800H outputs less heat than Ryzen 5 1600X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 1600X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
