Ryzen 5 1600 vs Xeon Silver 4210R comparison

In our benchmarks, the Xeon Silver 4210R beats the Ryzen 5 1600 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 1600 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon Silver 4210R has significantly more cores with 10 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 1600 that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 1600. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 1600 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon Silver 4210R. Also, the Ryzen 5 1600 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 1600 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon Silver 4210R CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 1600 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
