Ryzen 5 1600 vs Ryzen 7 3700X specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 3700X performs better than the Ryzen 5 1600. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 1600 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 3700X has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 1600 that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 1600. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 3700X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 1600. Also, the Ryzen 7 3700X has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different.
