Ryzen 5 1600 vs Core i5-9400F benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 1600 performs better than the Core i5-9400F. Despite this, the Core i5-9400F has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 5 1600 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 1600 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-9400F. Despite this, the Core i5-9400F has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 1600 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-9400F. The Ryzen 5 1600 also has significantly more L3 cache.
