Ryzen 5 1600 vs Core i5-10600 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-10600 is faster than the Ryzen 5 1600. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 1600 in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-10600 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 1600. Also, the Core i5-10600 has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 1600 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-10600. The Ryzen 5 1600 also has slightly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 1600 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
