Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G vs Ryzen 5 8500G benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 8500G is faster than the Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 5 8500G has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 8500G has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 8500G. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 8500G has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 8500G has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G. The Ryzen 5 8500G also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
