Ryzen 3 5300G vs Core i7-11700F benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-11700F performs better than the Ryzen 3 5300G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 5300G in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-11700F has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 3 5300G has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 5300G. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 3 5300G has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-11700F. Despite this, the Core i7-11700F has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i7-11700F has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 3 5300G. The Core i7-11700F also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 5300G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
