Ryzen 3 4300U vs Xeon E5-1620 v4 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 4300U is faster than the Xeon E5-1620 v4. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-1620 v4 in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Xeon E5-1620 v4 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-1620 v4 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 4300U. Also, the Xeon E5-1620 v4 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 4300U CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-1620 v4 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 4300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
