Ryzen 3 4300U vs Ryzen 5 7520U specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 4300U beats the Ryzen 5 7520U in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 7520U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 5 7520U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 7520U has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 4300U. Also, the Ryzen 5 7520U has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 4300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
