Ryzen 3 4300U vs Ryzen 5 3400G specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 3400G is faster than the Ryzen 3 4300U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 4300U in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Ryzen 5 3400G has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 3400G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 4300U. Also, the Ryzen 5 3400G has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 4300U CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 3400G CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 4300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
