Ryzen 3 4300U vs Ryzen 5 1400 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 4300U is faster than the Ryzen 5 1400. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 1400 in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Ryzen 5 1400 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 1400 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 4300U. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 4300U has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 4300U CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 1400 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Ryzen 5 1400 also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 4300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
