Ryzen 3 4300U vs Core i7-7700 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-7700 is faster than the Ryzen 3 4300U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 4300U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i7-7700 has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-7700 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 4300U. Also, the Core i7-7700 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 4300U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-7700 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 4300U has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-7700. Despite this, the Core i7-7700 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 4300U.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 4300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
