Ryzen 3 4300U vs Core i7-6700T benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 3 4300U performs better than the Core i7-6700T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-6700T in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i7-6700T has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-6700T has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 4300U. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 4300U has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 4300U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-6700T CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 4300U has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-6700T. Despite this, the Core i7-6700T has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 4300U.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 4300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
