Ryzen 3 4300U vs Core i7-4800MQ specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 4300U is faster than the Core i7-4800MQ. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-4800MQ in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i7-4800MQ has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-4800MQ has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 4300U. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. A Ryzen 3 4300U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-4800MQ CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 3 4300U has more L2 cache than the Core i7-4800MQ. Despite this, the Core i7-4800MQ has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 4300U.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 4300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
