Ryzen 3 4300U vs Core i5-6600K comparison
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 4300U beats the Core i5-6600K in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-6600K in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-6600K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 4300U. Also, the Core i5-6600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 4300U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-6600K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 4300U has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-6600K. Despite this, the Core i5-6600K has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 4300U.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 4300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
