Ryzen 3 4300U vs Core i3-N305 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 4300U beats the Core i3-N305 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-N305 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i3-N305 has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 3 4300U that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 4300U. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 4300U has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-N305. Despite this, the Core i3-N305 has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i3-N305 has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 4300U. The Core i3-N305 also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 4300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
