Ryzen 3 4300GE vs Core i7-8700T comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 3 4300GE performs better than the Core i7-8700T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-8700T in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-8700T has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 3 4300GE. Indeed, the Core i7-8700T has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 3 4300GE. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 4300GE. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 4300GE has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-8700T. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 3 4300GE has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-8700T. Despite this, the Core i7-8700T has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 4300GE.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 4300GE has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
