Ryzen 3 4300GE vs Core i5-8600K benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-8600K beats the Ryzen 3 4300GE in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 4300GE in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-8600K has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 3 4300GE. Indeed, the Core i5-8600K has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 3 4300GE. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 4300GE has more threads than the Core i5-8600K. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-8600K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 4300GE. A Ryzen 3 4300GE CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-8600K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 4300GE has slightly more L2 cache than the Core i5-8600K. Despite this, the Core i5-8600K has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 4300GE.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 4300GE has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
