Ryzen 3 4300G vs Ryzen 7 5800H benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 5800H performs better than the Ryzen 3 4300G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 4300G in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 5800H has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 3 4300G that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 4300G. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 4300G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 5800H. The Ryzen 7 5800H outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 4300G thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800H has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 4300G. The Ryzen 7 5800H also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 4300G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
