Ryzen 3 4300G vs Core i3-1315U comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 4300G is faster than the Core i3-1315U. Despite this, the Core i3-1315U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i3-1315U has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Ryzen 3 4300G that has 4 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 4300G has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1315U. Despite this, the Core i3-1315U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Core i3-1315U also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 4300G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
