Ryzen 3 4300G vs Core i3-10100 comparison
In our benchmarks, the Core i3-10100 beats the Ryzen 3 4300G in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 4300G in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 4300G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i3-10100. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 3 4300G has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-10100. Despite this, the Core i3-10100 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 4300G.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 4300G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
