Ryzen 3 3350U vs Xeon E5-1620 v2 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 3350U is faster than the Xeon E5-1620 v2. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-1620 v2 in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Xeon E5-1620 v2 has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon E5-1620 v2 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 3350U. A Ryzen 3 3350U CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-1620 v2 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3350U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
