Ryzen 3 3350U vs Ryzen 5 3500U comparison
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 3500U beats the Ryzen 3 3350U in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3350U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 5 3500U has more threads. In terms of clock speed, the Ryzen 3 3350U and Ryzen 5 3500U are identical in this regard. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3350U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
