Ryzen 3 3350U vs FX-8150 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 3350U beats the FX-8150 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-8150 in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the FX-8150 has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the FX-8150 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 3350U. A Ryzen 3 3350U CPU outputs less heat than a FX-8150 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the FX-8150 has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 3350U. The FX-8150 also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3350U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
