Ryzen 3 3350U vs Core i7-4800MQ benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-4800MQ performs better than the Ryzen 3 3350U. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3350U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i7-4800MQ has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-4800MQ has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 3350U. A Ryzen 3 3350U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-4800MQ CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3350U has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-4800MQ. Despite this, the Core i7-4800MQ has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 3350U.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3350U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
