Ryzen 3 3350U vs Core i3-9300 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 3350U is faster than the Core i3-9300. Despite this, the Core i3-9300 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i3-9300 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 3350U. Also, the Core i3-9300 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 3350U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-9300 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3350U has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i3-9300. Despite this, the Core i3-9300 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 3350U.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3350U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
