Ryzen 3 3300X vs Xeon X5680 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 3300X is faster than the Xeon X5680. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon X5680 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon X5680 has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Ryzen 3 3300X has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 3300X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 3300X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon X5680. Also, the Ryzen 3 3300X has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 3300X CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5680 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3300X has significantly more L2 cache than the Xeon X5680. The Ryzen 3 3300X also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3300X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
