Ryzen 3 3300X vs Xeon E5-2673 v4 comparison
In our benchmarks, the Xeon E5-2673 v4 beats the Ryzen 3 3300X in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3300X has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2673 v4 has significantly more cores with 20 cores whereas the Ryzen 3 3300X has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 3300X. A Ryzen 3 3300X CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2673 v4 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3300X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
