Ryzen 3 3300X vs Ryzen Threadripper 1900X benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X performs better than the Ryzen 3 3300X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 3300X in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 3 3300X. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has 8 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 3 3300X. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 3300X. In terms of clock speed, the Ryzen 3 3300X and Ryzen Threadripper 1900X are identical in this regard. A Ryzen 3 3300X CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen Threadripper 1900X CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 3300X. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3300X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
