Ryzen 3 3300X vs Ryzen 7 5800H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 5800H is faster than the Ryzen 3 3300X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 3300X in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 7 5800H has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 3 3300X. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800H has 8 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 3 3300X. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 3300X. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 3 3300X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 5800H. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 5800H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 5800H outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3300X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800H has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 3300X. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3300X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
