Ryzen 3 3300X vs Core i3-1215U benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 3300X is faster than the Core i3-1215U. Despite this, the Core i3-1215U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i3-1215U has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Ryzen 3 3300X that has 4 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 3300X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1215U. Despite this, the Core i3-1215U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i3-1215U outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3300X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i3-1215U has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 3300X. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3300X has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core i3-1215U.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3300X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
