Ryzen 3 3300U vs Xeon X5570 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 3300U beats the Xeon X5570 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon X5570 in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon X5570 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 3300U. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3300U has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 3300U CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5570 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 3 3300U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Xeon X5570. Despite this, the Xeon X5570 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 3300U.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
