Ryzen 3 3300U vs Xeon E5-2630 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon E5-2630 performs better than the Ryzen 3 3300U. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3300U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon E5-2630 has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Ryzen 3 3300U that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 3300U. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-2630 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 3300U. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3300U has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 3300U CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2630 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
