Ryzen 3 3300U vs Xeon E3-1245 v3 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E3-1245 v3 is faster than the Ryzen 3 3300U. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3300U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Xeon E3-1245 v3 has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon E3-1245 v3 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 3300U. Also, the Xeon E3-1245 v3 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 3300U CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E3-1245 v3 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
