Ryzen 3 3300U vs Ryzen 5 3550H benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 3550H beats the Ryzen 3 3300U in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 3300U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 5 3550H has more threads. In terms of clock speed, the Ryzen 3 3300U and Ryzen 5 3550H are identical in this regard. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 3550H has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 3300U CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 3550H CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache and L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
