Ryzen 3 3300U vs Core i7-7660U specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 3300U beats the Core i7-7660U in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-7660U in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 3 3300U has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Core i7-7660U has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-7660U has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 3300U. Also, the Core i7-7660U has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
