Ryzen 3 3300U vs Core i5-760 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 3 3300U performs better than the Core i5-760. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-760 in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-760 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 3300U. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3300U has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 3300U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-760 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3300U has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-760. Despite this, the Core i5-760 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 3300U.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
