Ryzen 3 3300U vs Core i5-6500 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-6500 is faster than the Ryzen 3 3300U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 3300U in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-6500 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 3300U. Also, the Core i5-6500 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 3300U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-6500 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 3 3300U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-6500. Despite this, the Core i5-6500 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 3300U.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
