Ryzen 3 3300U vs Core i5-10310U benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 3300U beats the Core i5-10310U in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-10310U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i5-10310U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 3300U has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-10310U. Despite this, the Core i5-10310U has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
