Ryzen 3 3200U vs FX-4130 benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 3 3200U performs better than the FX-4130. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-4130 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the FX-4130 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 3200U. A Ryzen 3 3200U CPU outputs less heat than a FX-4130 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the FX-4130 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 3 3200U. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3200U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
